The new EP “Beatstrumentals Vol.I” by Jonas Wall will be released on June 18th.

Old school meets new school with jazz instrumentals for hiphop.

An album produced like a traditional hiphop record with a big touch of jazz, soul and funk. “Everything is there, the hiphop beats and samples meets a ton of neosoul, jazz and funk, but most of the inspiration comes from the old school hiphop”.

– Jonas Wall about his new album.

This album is clearly different from the last album he made. On the last record “Melodies” there was a mixture of woodwind instruments only.

For this upcoming EP he has been using a mix of saxophones, clarinets, samples, beats, software synthesizer and fellow musicians Magnum Coltrane Price (bass & guitar), Per “Wazz” Wasberg (bass), Robert Mehmet Sinan Ikiz (drums), Ola Bothzén (drums) and Kjell Karlsson (guitar).

A high-class masterpiece. Composed, mixed and produced by Jonas Wall.

“The arrangements take a contemporary swing at the traditional bass-heavy studio productions, presenting an alternative twist with real instruments. Def Beatstrumental Vol.I reimagines Hiphop with jazz guarantees to stimulate creative rappers and dynamic dancers.” – Andy Collins.

He has been working on his new album now and then during the

past three years while he has been touring but finished it during the ongoing pandemic.
